Rose Street, Edinburgh, Scotland 1862. A young woman prays for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on a small, failing church. God promises that her prayer will one day be answered. "Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children". By 1901 Rose Street had sunk to slum level and was the haunt of drunks and prostitutes. There were nineteen public houses in the street, one every forty metres. Charlotte Chapel was in Rose Street. To this church of 5 members a young minister name Joseph Kemp came. And so our story begins ... |
